My husband had to wake me up last night because I was "choking" in my sleep. This morning he described it more fully to me and it definitely sounded like I was struggling to breathe then gasping for air. I've always been a mild snorer, but my husband says it got much worse when I was pregnant with our son and has continued to get worse since he was born (2.5 years ago). That being said, I don't tend to wake up frequently overnight, and I function fine during the day with no coffee (not a fan). Lately I have been feeling more tired throughout the day though, and I rarely feel well-rested when I wake up.
So anyway, I clearly need some kind of sleep study done. Can someone explain the difference between a home-based vs. in-lab study? I'm sure the home study is the only choice until Covid19 restrictions are lifted, so I'm wondering if I should hold out until then so I can do a lab-based study instead.
