Keep waking up middle of the night with the air sputtering in my mask

And then I have to take it off and then fall back asleep. I'm using an F20 full face mask and have a ResMed Elite II.

Any ideas? I find the F20 super comfortable actually, and fall asleep extremely quickly while wearing it but this sputtering in the middle of the night is really messing up my rhythm
