Panicking Newly Diagnosed (f.33) Bipap-ST

I new I had sleep apnea. I assumed obstructive sleep apnea. I'm 100 lbs overweight. I have never been on treatment.

I ended up needing a second sleep study to determine titration. What went from mild sleep apnea is now requiring a BIPAP-ST. After hearing the costs I thought perhaps I could lose weight and not need the machine.....but them I got some more news. I have central sleep apnea in additon to OSA.

Apparently, my brain does not tell me to breathe and this machine will breathe for me. I stopped breathing 106 times during my most recent study.

Everything I have read about central sleep apnea is terrifying me. To my knowledge I have no prexisting or underlying medical issues. My blood work has been done - thyroid clear for instance. I assume blood work would find renal failure.

Do I need an echocardiogram? A stress test? Could I have heart failure and not know it????

Im only 33. My daughter is 4. Im freaking out. Any insight is appreciated. I have an appointment with doctor tomorrow.
