Can a CPAP machine function as a ventilator? Ramping it (CPAP) up to 15, would it keep someone breathing the way a ventilator would? Asking for a friend....

edit: thank you all for your comments. I’m not sick, my post was poorly worded in hindsight. But I think it’s a good discussion point as if not now the convo is definitely around the corner. Perhaps someone knowledgeable could create a proper thread to work from.
