Hi there!
I had a nurse practitioner suggest I do a sleep study because she thinks I may have sleep apnea.
I told her that I can’t sleep on my right side or back because it makes me feel like I can’t breathe. When I roll to my left side, I’m perfectly fine and sleep like a baby.
It’s even so bad that if I get really sleepy while sitting up on the couch, I’ll get the feeling I can’t breathe and I’ll have to go to bed and lay down (on my left side of course).
This only happens when I’m awake, but really sleepy. Like right on the cusp of falling asleep. I don’t snore (and yes I sleep with a partner so I’m sure of this) and never wake up with this problem. I’m 30, healthy, and work out everyday.
What are your thoughts?? Is your sleep apnea like this?
