Trapped between a rock and a hard place.

TLDR at the bottom: I’ve had an overbite my whole life. I’ve gone through headgear as a child. My first orthodontist decided that my overbite could be corrected by removing my two top teeth and braces to correct the gap. Fast-forward to this past year where I call to set up a ENT. He diagnosed me with large turbinates and a deviated septum. I also mention my jaw being recessed and he recommends for me to see a facial surgeon. The facial surgeon suggests double jaw surgery and while I’m under he will fix the deviated septum and large turbinates. He also says I have large tonsils. All of this will take several months and I need to get braces. I recently competed an in-home sleep study to support my surgery. I am afraid that I may have sleep apnea and due to the multiple aspects of my airway I don’t know if I can wait till surgery. Now I am in between (if my sleep study comes back positive) getting a CPAP which my parents (who are supporting me don’t agree with even though my father has one) or just waiting for the surgery this fall. I want to fix this problem and I feel I am stuck right now. This surgery is a permanent solution but I would like a sleep apnea device to solve my issues but currently I don’t have the financial means to buying my own device. I am also in college and all of this effecting my schooling.

TLDR: I have a deviated septum, large turbinates, enlarged tonsils, airway issues from overbite (trying to get double jaw surgery) .

Now, do I try to get a sleep apnea device for the interim before surgery? Or do I tough it out for the surgery in the fall? (Parents don’t agree with getting a cpap and I don’t have financial means to buy one on my own (in college and need money for the surgery)
