'Vent' posting and sharing my story with this lovely community if anyone is interested.
24/M, in healthy shape.
Diagnosed with minor OSA and primarily CSA without any more detail as of yet - as I am still awaiting my follow-up for CPAP. (Diagnosed from actual in-lab sleep study)
This has probably been going on since I was 12 years old or at least since my teenage years.
Over time, my full body muscular fatigue, sleep/body recovery, and mental fatigue and clarity have decreased ever so slowly.
Back in my teen years, they all just assumed it was "puberty sleep" as kids need more sleep, I'd sleep 12-13 hours a day and still feel terrible.
This caused SO many school attendance issues and grade problems growing up that I can't recover from.
I used to be an overweight teen.
I wish more people would wake up to the severity of sleep apnea, as I feel I have lost quite a few years of my life and my heart over all this time.
I'm incredibly weak, it's harder to stay awake at work, and I am in deathly need of my CPAP at this time.
With this whole Covid issue going around, I feel as if I am on the back-burner and kind of forgotten about as I am not essential at this time.
Thanks for reading my post and story if you made it this far, any questions - feel free to ask.
Thanks!
