I don't know if it's Sleep Apnea or not, but when I was a kid I'd go to sleep, perfectly peacefully. Though, when I'd wake up I'd only be able to breathe in. I simply couldn't breathe out. I'd keep taking air in and in and in, but I couldn't breathe out. It horrified me, and I don't know if I'd passed out from it ever. I also couldn't move, or speak. I later found out that by cutting myself off mid breath with my tongue, closing off my airway, sort of, then taking another quick breath, I could breathe out. I haven't experienced it in years, but I'm quite curious of what it was. I've heard it could have been sleep paralysis, but I don't think so.
