I have been dealing with severe chronic fatigue and brain fog that has gradually worsened over the past 8 years, and I’m only 23. It’s gotten so bad the past couple years I struggle to function or even pretend to function as a normal person.
I got diagnosed with mild sleep apnea last year. Used a CPAP for about 4 months with no progress, stopped using it. I started recording myself last month out of curiosity and noticed that I wake up roughly every 30 minutes, sit up, look around with my eyes open for a minute or so, and then go back to sleep. I do this consistently throughout the night. I went back to my CPAP about 5 weeks ago. Those episodes are maybe 1/4 of what they were now, my AHI is <2, but I still feel awful unfortunately. Also, why do I still wake up naturally after 8-9 hours of sleep and usually can’t fall back asleep after that, assuming the sleep debt and deprivation from sleep apnea is real?
