Help

I have been waking up in my sleep at least once a night, every night for the last 3 or 4 years. I have been to 2 different sleep doctors, done an in-lab sleep study, and a home sleep study. After my in-lab sleep study about 2 years ago, my doctor diagnosed me with upper airway resistance syndrome and prescribed me a mandibular advancement device. Unfortunately, I found it extremely uncomfortable and would unconsciously remove it from my mouth while sleeping. About 3 months ago, I had a home sleep study after going to a new doctor. The results showed I don't have sleep apnea so my doctor said insurance would not cover an in-lab sleep study and I can't afford to pay for it out of pocket since it's thousands of dollars. She recommended I purchase an auto pap machine but I am not sure which one to get or if it would even solve my sleep issues. I feel like I've hit a dead-end and I've been really depressed about being unable to get my sleep better. I also read that a prescription is required to purchase a machine in the U.S. and I don't think I can get one since my doctor only recommended it. I would really appreciate some insight because I don't know how much longer I can deal with this. My everyday life is horrible since I am always tired from a shitty night of sleep. I can't remember what it's like to have energy and I just want to get better. I fucking hate the American healthcare system. Please help.
