My Sleep study results are in!

Hello everyone! I have been Lurking about on this reddit for a while, just looking for advice and just want to say I greatly appreciate everyone who has posted on this reddit as it really really helps people who are starting their journey!

Anyway though recently, a couple months back (I believe in February) had a sleep study and the results are back:

Severe Sleep apnea. More specifically severe supine OSA. When I sleep on my back my AHI is 50.5 Ev/hr. When I sleep on my side my AHI drops massively to 12.0 Ev/hr. This concluded to an average AHI of 46.3 Ev/hr, which defines as severe sleep apnea.

What’s next:

Due to the whole Covid-19 situation my whole process is delayed. I will next have an appointment with my sleep specialist after this whole situation. Also I will start treatment for sleep apnea (cPaP).

However I believe I have UARS as well (i know). So in my next appointment I will discuss with my doctor about UARS and possibly getting referred for a sleep endoscopy.

Feels great though after living for 19 years with a whole load of problems, ADHD, depression, Anxiety, Fatigue and Confusion, I finally have sense of direction to where I can start treating my sleep apnea, mental health issues, physical health issues and hopefully UARS.

I guess this is a small amount of success, which is a first in my life!
