I'm a little confused on referrals. I went to an ENT doctor today who gave me a sleep study referral, but when I call the sleep study centers, they insist I need to have a consult first with their physicians. I thought the point of the referral was to bypass the need for further evaluation. Does anyone have any experience with this?
